Thank you for shopping with Merel Scent. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read our policy below.

Return Eligibility

  • Defective/Damaged Items: Accepted within 7 days of delivery. Email photo proof to: hello@merelscent.co.za.
  • Change of Mind: Accepted within 7 days for unused, full-priced items only. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense.

Conditions for Returns

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition.
  • All candle care instructions and warnings must be followed to qualify for a return or refund.
  • Opened, used, or damaged products due to misuse cannot be returned.

Return Process

  1. Email us at hello@merelscent.co.za with your order number and reason for return.
  2. Include photos of damage or defect if applicable.
  3. Once approved, send the product to:

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7 working days of receiving the returned item.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable (except for damaged/defective goods).
  • An administration fee of 10% may apply for cancellations before dispatch.

Shipping

  • Merel Scent covers return shipping for damaged or defective items.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping on change-of-mind returns.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Sale or discounted items
  • Opened, used, or personalized items
  • Earrings (for hygiene reasons)
